Quick Summary
Fliki uses advanced AI to generate content in real-time. Whether it's synthesizing a voice, generating an image, or rendering a video, every action requires processing power.
Think of credits as fuel for that processing. Here is the quick summary of how they are charged.
1. AI Voiceovers and Music
As soon as the video is generated and auto-plays, voiceover credits are consumed.
AI Voice: Voiceover credits are based on the color indicator shown next to each voice in the voice picker.
🔵 Blue: 0.25 credits/minute
🟢 Green: 0.5 credits/minute
🟡 Yellow: 1 credit/minute
🟣 Purple: 2 credits/minute
Replays & Edits
No Changes: Replaying a video without editing voiceover text is free.
Partial Edits: If you edit the voiceover text in just one scene, you only use credits to regenerate that specific scene’s voiceover.
Uploaded Audio (MP3/WAV): Costs 0 credits.
AI-Generated Music: Cost depends on the selected music model. See the Music Generation Model Costs table below.
2. Images and Videos
Stock or Uploaded Media: Costs 0 credits.
AI Images: Costs 0.05 - 1.5 credits per image, depending on the model you select.
AI Video: Costs 0.1 - 6 credits per second, depending on the model and resolution.
Image Upscaling: Costs 0.01 credits per image.
3. Avatars & Characters
Credits are charged per second of generated avatar footage.
Stock Avatar: Costs 0.25 credits per second.
(Note: A flat 2 credits are deducted for any generation ≤ 8 seconds).
Characters (public & your own): Lip-sync cost depends on the selected lipsync model. See the Character Lipsync Model Costs table below.
Note: There are minimal credits charged for other specific actions (like Workflow, Translation, publishing, export etc). To see the full usage table and learn how to optimize your credits, keep reading the detailed guide below.
Plan availability: Not every model is available on every plan. The tables below include a Plan column so you can see what your plan can run before you budget for it.
Full Guide: Usage, Costs & Optimization
Fliki isn't just a video editor; it’s a real-time AI processing engine.
Think of credits as fuel for that engine.
Processing = Fuel Burned. (Generating a voice, creating an image, rendering a video).
Static = Free. (Using stock media, replaying existing scenes).
Here is the step-by-step breakdown of where your credits go.
Phase 1: The Setup
When you start a workflow (Idea to Video, PPT to Video, etc.), you enter the setup phase.
This entire phase is free.
You can tweak prompts, choose voices, and select templates without spending a single credit.
The meter only starts running when you click Submit.
Workflow Start Costs (Charged upon Submit):
Idea to video: 0.5 credits
Script to video: 0.5 credits
Blog (URL) to video: 0.5 credits
PPT to video: 1 credit
Everything else (Storyboard, Explainer, Motion graphics, Music video, Edit video, Screen recording, audio and design workflows): 0.17 - 1 credit. See the Workflow Start Costs table below.
Pro Tip: Review your full script, on-screen text, and visual prompts before hitting submit. Fixing errors here costs nothing. Fixing them later might cost credits.
Phase 2: Generation, Voiceovers and Music
As soon as the video is generated and auto-plays, voiceover credits are consumed.
This happens automatically.
The Cost Breakdown:
Voiceover credits are determined by the color indicator displayed in the voice picker.
🔵 Blue: 0.25 credits/minute
🟢 Green: 0.5 credits/minute
🟡 Yellow: 1 credit/minute
🟣 Purple: 2 credits/minute

Examples
A 2-minute video using a 🟢 Green voice costs 1 credit (2 × 0.5).
A 2-minute video using a 🔵 Blue voice costs 0.5 credits (2 × 0.25).
A 2-minute video using a 🟡 Yellow voice costs 2 credits (2 × 1).
A 2-minute video using a 🟣 Purple voice costs 4 credits (2 × 2).
How Edits Are Charged
Replaying: Free.
Editing voiceover text: If you change the voiceover text in a scene, you only pay to regenerate audio for that specific scene.
Example: Editing a 12-second scene (0.2 mins) with a 🟢 Green voice costs 0.1 credits (0.2 × 0.5). The cost always depends on the color of the selected voice.
Phase 3: Visuals (The Cost Driver)
This is where credit usage varies the most.
1. Stock Content (Free)
Any image or video from Fliki's stock library costs 0 credits. Use as much as you want.
2. AI Images
Generating AI images costs between 0.05 - 1.5 credits per image depending upon the image model you select.
Some image models are character-consistent, which means they accept your character portraits as reference images and keep the same face across every scene. If you are building a video around a specific character, pick one of those models. See the AI Image Model Costs table below.
3. AI Video
AI Video is computationally heavy. It costs between 0.1 and 6 credits per second depending upon the video model and resolution you select.
4. Image Upscaler (Low Cost)
Upscaling costs 0.01 credits per image.
The Strategy to Save Credits
Do not generate AI Video immediately.
Start with AI Images only.
Review every visual.
Regenerate or swap images you don't like (it’s cheap).
Only when images are perfect, go to Settings → "Generate AI video clips".
This ensures you don't waste expensive video credits on scenes you might delete later.
Which Video Model Runs by Default
If you never open the model picker, this is what your plan renders with, and what you are charged.
Plan | Default model | Resolution | Credits / sec |
|---|---|---|---|
Basic | Seedance Pro Fast | 720p | 0.1 Credits |
Standard | MiniMax H3 Max Turbo | 480p | 0.3 Credits |
Premium | MiniMax H3 Max Turbo | 720p | 0.5 Credits |
Standard defaults to 480p on purpose. It spends your credits on the better renderer rather than on more pixels from a cheaper one. You can switch resolution any time in the model picker.
Phase 4: Avatars, Characters & Lip-Sync (Optional)
Avatars are NOT automatically lip-synced.
This is a safety feature to save you money.
The Trap:
If you generate lip-sync immediately and then edit the script, you have to pay to regenerate the avatar video again.
The Fix:
Finalize the script.
Finalize the timing.
Only then click the Avatar and select "Generate lip-sync."
The Cost:
Stock Avatar: 0.25 credits / second (Note: There is a flat 2-credit minimum for generations under 8 seconds)
Characters (public & your own): Lip-sync cost depends on the selected lipsync model (see the Character Lipsync Model Costs table). All lip-sync models require a Standard plan or higher.
Phase 5: Exporting and Publishing
Exporting costs 0.1 credits per minute of video.
A 3-minute video = 0.3 credits.
Important: If you export, find a typo, and export again, you pay export credit again. Always watch the full preview first.
Publishing to a connected channel costs 0.5 credits per publish, separate from the export charge. If you publish daily, budget for it.
Additional Features
Translate (in-editor): 1 credit per run, plus 0.1 credits if the AI refine pass rewrites the text.
Translate video (workflow start): 0.17 credits. This is a separate charge from the in-editor Translate action above.
Background Removal (image): 0.05 credits per image on Basic, 0.1 credits per image on Pro.
Background Removal (video): 0.5 credits per second.
Publish to a channel: 0.5 credits per publish.
Media summary: 0.05 credits per run.
Editor Copilot: Variable (token-metered, depends on the model).

Tips to optimize usage
1. Review before you submit
The biggest credit saver is finalizing your script before the video is generated.
Reviewing text and prompts during the Setup Phase is free. Editing them later consumes credits.
2. Keep voiceover layers short
Keep text layers to 1-2 sentences.
If you edit text in a scene, you pay to regenerate audio for that scene.
Regenerating a 30-second paragraph is expensive. Regenerating a 5-second sentence is cheap.
3. Use the "Pronounce" feature
If the AI mispronounces a word, don't regenerate the whole scene.
Highlight just that word and select "Pronounce". You can fix it in the Pronunciation Map without consuming credits for the full scene.
4. Perfect images before converting to video
AI Video costs up to 6 credits/second. AI Images cost as little as 0.05 credits.
Always generate your video with images first. Review and swap them until perfect.
Only then, go to Settings → "Generate AI video clips".
5. Lip-sync is the last step
Don't rush the Avatar lip-sync.
If you generate it early and then change your script, you pay double.
Wait until your final review is done before clicking "Generate lip-sync".
6. Use stock content
Stock images and videos from Fliki’s library are free (0 credits).
Use them to fill gaps or create high-quality segments without spending budget.
7. Choose the right model
Don't use a higher-cost voice or AI model unless you need it.
Hobby work: Use a 🟢 Green (0.5/min) or a 🔵 Blue voice (0.25/min) and Flux 2 Klein (0.05/image).
Professional work: Use a 🟡 Yellow (1/min) or a 🟣 Purple voice (2/min) and GPT Image 2.5 (1/image).
AI video: Start with Seedance Pro Fast (0.1/sec) before trying expensive models like Google Veo.
Recurring characters: You only need a character-consistent image model (marked ★) when the same face has to appear across scenes. Otherwise a 0.05 credit model is fine.
8. Check your default video model
Standard and Premium plans render with MiniMax H3 Max Turbo by default (0.3 and 0.5 credits/sec), not with the cheapest model available.
If you are drafting and don't need the quality, switch to a lower tier or a lower resolution in the model picker before generating.
9. Plan your exports and publishes
Every export costs 0.1 credits per minute, and every publish to a channel costs 0.5 credits.
Treat the export button like a "Publish" button, not a "Draft" button.
Watch the full preview one last time before exporting.
