One country, two briefs
Flanders and Wallonia are separate audiences, and each hears the difference.
Same written language, audibly different speech. Flemish keeps a softer g, holds vowels differently and uses everyday words the north does not: gsm for a mobile, ambetant for annoying, goesting for appetite. For a Flemish audience the local voice is the one that sounds like it comes from there.
Belgian French says septante and nonante where France says soixante-dix and quatre-vingt-dix, and carries its own set of everyday terms. The difference turns up fastest in prices and dates, so a script written for France is worth a pass before it is voiced for Wallonia.
How it works
Write them together, pick a voice per language, check the numbers, export.
Writing both at once rather than translating afterwards keeps the lines close in length, which matters when both have to fit the same shots.
Many of the voices here play a sample, so building the pair takes a couple of minutes.
Septante and nonante in French, and the Flemish everyday vocabulary in Dutch. Amounts are written 1.500,50 euro in both, with the point for thousands and the comma for decimals.
Take MP3 for radio and phone systems, or build the visuals and subtitles here and export a 1080p MP4 for each language from one project.
