A short for a festival or a reel
Take a script you have been sitting on to a finished two- or three-minute film with real dialogue, ready to submit to an AI film festival or cut into a showreel.
Write a premise or paste a screenplay. Fliki casts the film, plans every shot, and renders scenes where the cast speaks its own dialogue, keeps the same faces from first scene to last, and plays over one original score.

Why filmmakers pick Fliki for AI short films
Clip generators leave you to write every shot, hold every face and cut the film together. Fliki starts from the story and renders the whole film with one cast.
The dialogue is spoken inside each clip, on the character’s own mouth, with the room tone and sound effects rendered in the same pass. There is no narrator unless your story asks for one.
Each character is drawn once on a reference sheet with a face lock, and every clip carries those sheets. Face, hair and wardrobe hold from the first scene to the last, for up to 5 speaking characters.
Scene headings and NAME: lines are read as a screenplay and kept word for word, in order. Or type a premise and Fliki writes the scenes and the dialogue for you.
Every shot gets a size, an angle and a move: eye-level, low, high, over-the-shoulder, profile or dutch. Lines are spoken on close-ups and medium shots, where a mouth stays sharp; wides are for silence.
Each scene opens on a still. The first scene in a place draws its master frame, and every later scene there is an edit of it, so the furniture, the light and who stands where carry across the cut.
Cinematic film, K-drama glow, Dark thriller, Vintage film, Soft romance, Documentary real, 3D cartoon, Anime, Comic book and Game cutscene. Auto reads your story and locks one look on every sheet and clip.
Save any character with its look and voice description, then cast them in your next film. Start a series with the same lead, or cast from your saved characters before the plan is written.
MiniMax Music 3 writes one instrumental score in the film’s palette and lays it under every scene, rising into the turn. The clips keep their own dialogue and sound at full volume above it.
V1 cuts each scene into shots on Gen Video, MiniMax H3 Max, Wan 3.0 or Kling 4.0. V2 renders scenes of up to 30 seconds, directed shot by shot, on Wan 3.0, Kling 4.0 or Seedance 2.5, at up to 1080p.
How it works
From a one-line premise or a finished screenplay to a scored short film, with the same cast in every scene.
Describe who wants what and what goes wrong, or paste a screenplay. Fliki keeps your scene headings and dialogue word for word.
Choose a style or Auto, cast saved characters if you have them, and leave the length on Auto so the story decides it. Pick V1 or V2 and the video model.
Fliki writes the scenes and shots and draws a reference sheet for every character. Check the cast and the plan before a single clip renders.
Each scene renders with its cast sheets and opening still attached, the score goes underneath, and the film exports as an MP4 at 9:16 or 16:9.
Use cases for an AI short film generator
Festival shorts, vertical series, animated stories and brand films, each told by characters who speak.
Take a script you have been sitting on to a finished two- or three-minute film with real dialogue, ready to submit to an AI film festival or cut into a showreel.
Save your leads once and cast them in every episode. Each part opens mid-conflict, turns once and ends on the cliffhanger that brings viewers back.
Switch the look to 3D cartoon, Anime or Comic book and the cast sheets are drawn in that style too, so the characters still look like themselves in every scene.
Tell a thirty-second scene where the product is the turn in the plot, with real dialogue instead of a voiceover over stock footage.
Render a draft of a scene to test the dialogue, the blocking and the pacing before a real shoot, or to show a producer what the page means.
How to make an AI short film that holds together
Every clip in an AI film is rendered on its own, so anything not pinned down drifts between them. These are the rules Fliki’s Short film engine enforces, and the ones to follow with any tool.
Draw each character once on a reference sheet and send that sheet with every clip. Keep the speaking cast to four or five: every extra face is one more identity the model can lose between scenes.
A mouth smaller than a medium shot smears when a video model syncs speech to it. Put every line on a close-up or a medium shot, and keep wides for arrivals, silence and movement.
Video models speak at about 2.5 words a second. A scene padded past its dialogue fills the gap with lingering, so size it to its lines plus a breath, and keep wordless scenes to a single look.
Cut from a wide to a close-up, or from eye-level to low, so the edit reads as a choice. Shot-reverse-shot in a conversation is the one exception. Dissolve for a jump in time or place; fade for the ending.
Establish each location in one master frame and open every later scene there on an edit of it. The furniture, the light and where people stand then survive the cut.
Short films live on their ending. Open mid-conflict in the first three seconds, turn exactly once past the midpoint, and land on a final image the viewer remembers.
