Before you book a Dubai studio

Most UAE campaigns need two cuts, not one

Around nine in ten residents are expatriates, so the Arabic version is rarely the only version.

The same script, read twice

A property listing, a mall promotion or an onboarding video usually ships in Arabic and English, and often in a third language for a specific community. Recording that means booking two sessions and matching the pacing afterwards. Generating it means writing both scripts and exporting both, with the timing already aligned to the same visuals.

Emirati, and what sits next to it

The voices tagged to the UAE here, reading Gulf Arabic with an Emirati lean. For broadcast and government work Modern Standard is still the expected register, and for pan-Gulf campaigns a Saudi voice carries further. The practical move is to test the same line across all three before the brief is signed.

How it works

Producing a UAE voice over

Write both language versions, pick the voices, align them to the cut, export.

Step 1

Draft the Arabic and English together

Write them side by side rather than translating afterwards. Arabic runs longer than English for the same meaning, so a line that fits a six second shot in English usually needs trimming in Arabic.

Step 2

Pick a voice per language

The UAE voices cover the Arabic side. For the English cut, a Gulf-accented or neutral international read tends to test better with a mixed audience than a strongly regional one.

Step 3

Fix prices, areas and developer names

Write AED amounts out as 2,500,000 درهم, and set the pronunciation once for area and developer names that recur across a campaign. Doing it at the script stage saves repeating the correction on every asset.

Step 4

Export audio, or the finished film

Take MP3 for radio, lifts and phone systems, or build the visuals and subtitles here and export a 1080p MP4 for each language from one project.
